Virgil Peck opposes using your tax dollars to subsidize the college tuition of illegal immigrants in Kansas. He has worked, and will continue to work, to repeal this ridiculous practice in our State.

As your State Representative Virgil Peck co-sponsored the Taxpayer Bill of Rights.  The Taxpayer Bill of Rights is based on two fundamental principles.  (1) The State Government's budget should not grow faster than the family budget.  (2) Decisions regarding new taxes or tax increases could only be made by the taxpayers (voters).  To learn more click here.

Virgil sponsored legislation that would eliminate the sales tax for back-to-school shoppers (HB 2601). This bill would save money during the first week of August for parents and grandparents when they purchase school supplies, clothing and computers for children as they prepare to go back to school.

Virgil authored legislation to reduce the state tax on motor vehicle fuels (gasoline and diesel) in Kansas (HB 2822). This would encourage Kansas motorist to purchase their fuel in Kansas rather than out of state. By doing so it would bolster the Kansas economy.
